  • What are your rates?
    The initial 15-minute consultation is free of charge. We work with our clients to create a personalized treatment plan that works for them. Our standard rates at this time are: $210 for individual sessions (50 min) $235 for couples sessions (50 min) These rates are subject to change. Clients will be notified of any rate increases with ample notice.
  • Do you provide insurance receipts? How do I know if I'm covered?
    An insurance receipt is provided at the end of each session. Each practitioner is licensed to practice in Ontario by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. The majority of employer health benefits cover psychotherapy services. We encourage you to speak with your insurance provider about therapy services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist to determine your eligibility and approved rates of coverage.
  • What is the difference between a Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Psychologist and Psychiatrist?"
    Registered Psychotherapist (RP) These practitioners specialize in providing counselling on interpersonal, social, and psychological obstacles which have come as a result of mental health challenges. Each psychotherapist will have their own approach and areas of specialization as a result of their individual experience and training. Regulated by: College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) Education Level: Masters level degree Provide Diagnosis: No Prescribe Medications: No Covered by some employer benefits plans Talk Therapy: Yes Registered Social Worker (RSW) These practitioners take into consideration the context of an individual’s system (family, workplace, school), or environment (country, climate), offering a perspective that alleviates individuals from being the root cause of their problems. Regulated by: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW) Education Level: Masters level degree (MSW) Provide Diagnosis: No Prescribe Medications: No Covered by most employer benefits plans. Talk Therapy: Yes Psychologist These practioners are skilled in diagnosing and treating certain mental illnesses and learning disabilities. They often complete standardized assessments during intake. Regulated by: College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) Education Level: PhD Provide Diagnosis: Yes Prescribe Medications: No Covered by most employer benefits plans. Talk Therapy: Yes Psychiatrist These practitioners are medical doctors who often work with people with severe mental illnesses, like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Regulated by: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Education Level: Medical Doctorate Provide Diagnosis: Yes Prescribe Medications: Yes Covered by OHIP Talk Therapy: Some psychiatrists practise talk therapy, most do not
  • How do I book an appointment?
    You can book directly using our online booking page You can email, call or submit a form using the Contact Us field. You can direct message us on Instagram.
  • What areas do you specialize in?
    We specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, perfectionism, stress & burnout, relationship issues, life transitions (e.g. divorce, grief) and career & life coaching.
  • What techniques do you use in therapy?
    We use an an integrative model, because no single framework fits all needs, but we work primarily from a cognitive behavioural (CBT), emotional-focused (EFT), attachment theory and strengths-based approach.
  • How long is each therapy session?
    Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length and couples sessions range from 50-80 minutes. We dedicate the last 10 minutes of the hour to update session notes, manage your file and prepare any resources we may have discussed.
  • What method of payment do you accept?
    We accept e-transfer and all major credit cards. We do not bill directly to employer benefits/insurance companies.
